OFIAR is a non-governmental advocacy organization dedicated to mobilizing Nigerians who are dissatisfied with the current state of governance and are ready to take action. One of our key leaders, Dr. Aham Onyike, has personally witnessed how social determinants of health create significant barriers to accessible and affordable care, highlighting the direct connection between healthcare and a community’s economic stability. As a Nigerian-American who understands the stark contrast between developed and developing nations, he chose to collaborate with like-minded individuals to drive meaningful change.

Nigeria’s current challenges pose a serious threat to its future, but there is still hope. The country has the talent and potential to thrive, and we believe that urgent, transformational change is possible through a growing mass movement that demands it.
